Version 1.0 · Effective November 2, 2026
In plain words (this box is a summary; the full text below is what counts)
- These basic terms apply when PAC trains you, helps set up your shop, or builds something for you.
- Check before you cut, the same as with PAC's products.
- What PAC builds for you, you may use and change in your own business for as long as you like; PAC keeps ownership.
- PAC's responsibility is capped at what you paid PAC for that service.
1. What these terms cover
These terms are between Phill Anton Consulting LLC ("PAC", "we") and your business ("you"). They cover training, setup help, consulting and custom work PAC does for your shop ("PAC's services"), however it is arranged or paid for. PAC products are covered by the PAC Product License Terms, and PAC Agent by its license. These terms are part of PAC's terms in PAC Agent, so pressing Agree and continue there accepts them too. They also apply when you book training or other services from PAC.
2. Check before you cut
PAC's services are design, setup and advice, not a finished, tested program for your machine. Before you cut, drill, machine or build anything from them, you check it at your shop: every size, material, hardware item, bit and tool setting, and you cut a test part from scrap first, as section 8 of the Product License Terms describes. To the fullest extent the law allows, PAC isn't responsible for wasted material, broken bits or tools, damage to machines or property, machine or shop time, rework or delays, or anyone getting hurt, when parts are cut or products are built from PAC's services.
3. As is, and the limit
PAC does its work carefully. Apart from that, PAC's services come as they are, and PAC makes no other promises about them, to the fullest extent the law allows. PAC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, wasted material, broken tools, machine time, delays, or claims by your customers or workers), and PAC's total liability for any service is what you paid PAC for it. These limits don't cover what the law doesn't allow to be limited.
4. Who owns what
- Yours: your jobs, drawings, customers, prices, catalog, brand names and logo, and anything else you give PAC.
- PAC's: its products, methods, formulas, templates and know-how.
- What PAC builds for you: you may use it and change it in your own business for as long as you like, but you may not sell it or pass it to another business. PAC keeps ownership and may use its general methods in other work, but PAC won't give anyone else your custom library or anything that carries your catalog, names, prices or logo.
5. Your files and your computer
Keep your own backups before any session or change. PAC works on your computer only with your permission, and you can end a session at any time. PAC keeps your information private and uses it only to help you.
6. The rest
Meeting building codes, safety rules and any other law for what you build is your responsibility, and no one but you and PAC gets rights under these terms. Minnesota law governs them, and disputes are handled as the Product License Terms say.
