PAC Product License

Version 1.0 · Effective November 2, 2026

In plain words (this box is a summary; the full text below is what counts)

  • When you buy a PAC product you get a license for your one shop to use it in Mozaik. You don't buy the design itself, and you can't pass the files on to anyone else.
  • You may change the products for your own use, and the cabinets, parts, drawings and quotes you make with them are yours to sell.
  • Check before you cut. PAC's products are starting points. Before you cut anything, check every size, material, hardware item, bit and machine setting, and cut a test part. PAC isn't responsible for wasted material, a damaged machine, or anyone getting hurt.
  • Products come "as is". PAC's responsibility is capped at what you paid for the product.
  • Digital products can't be returned, so refunds are limited (section 10).

1. What these terms cover

These terms cover every digital product Phill Anton Consulting LLC ("PAC", "we") sells or gives away for use with Mozaik, whether you get it from PAC's store, a download link, an email, PAC Agent or by hand from PAC ("PAC Products"). That includes:

  • product libraries (Mozaik .moz cabinet products, their index, settings and SketchUp models), single products, insert libraries and custom parts;
  • door profile packs (Mozaik tool groups and door records);
  • texture packs;
  • catalogs, price or cost templates, hardware lists, notes, READMEs, plan drawings and other material that comes with them;
  • every update, fix and new version of any of them.

They don't cover training, consulting, setup or hosting services, or the PAC Order System, which have their own terms. PAC Agent, the free app that installs PAC Products, has its own End User License Agreement.

By buying, downloading, installing or using a PAC Product, you accept these terms. If you accept for a business, you confirm you can bind it, and "you" means that business.

2. PAC owns the products

PAC (or the people it licenses from) owns the PAC Products and all rights in them: the designs, formulas, parameters, construction methods as written in the files, names, pictures, texts and file layouts. A purchase gives you a license to use them, not ownership. Every right not given here stays with PAC.

3. What your purchase gives you

PAC gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use each PAC Product you bought (or PAC gave you) for one Shop, as follows.

"One Shop" means one business (one legal entity) and the people working for it, using the product on the business's own PCs through that business's own Mozaik Product Libraries folder (which may be a shared network or cloud folder all its PCs use).

You may:

  1. install the product in your Shop's Mozaik and use it on any number of your Shop's PCs that use your Shop's folder;
  2. use it to design, draw, quote, price, cut and build products for your own customers, and for your own shop;
  3. sell and deliver what you make with it (cabinets, parts, installations, drawings, renderings, quotes, cut lists and machine programs for your own jobs) without owing PAC anything more;
  4. keep backup copies for your Shop;
  5. let an outside installer, consultant or IT person handle the files for your Shop, as long as they don't keep a copy or use it for anyone else.

The license lasts as long as you follow these terms, unless it ends under section 14.

4. Changing products for your own use

You may edit PAC Products for your Shop's own use: change parameters, formulas, sizes, materials, construction, names, folders and pictures. Edited copies are still PAC Products under these terms, and you may not share them either.

PAC isn't responsible for products you or anyone else changed. When PAC updates a product you edited, PAC Agent keeps your version in the library's history (or beside the new one, your choice), but you should keep your own backups.

5. What you may not do

You may not, and you may not let anyone else:

  1. sell, resell, rent, lend, give away, share or sublicense a PAC Product, edited or not, or any part of it;
  2. give it to another shop or business, including a sister company, a franchise, a partner, a former employee's new shop, a contractor working for others, or your customer;
  3. upload or post it anywhere others can get it: forums, groups, marketplaces, file-sharing sites, public cloud links, or a shared folder another business can open;
  4. forward your download link, delivery email or download page, or let anyone outside your Shop download it;
  5. put a PAC Product, or a product built from one, into a library, pack or template that you sell or give to others;
  6. remove or change PAC's names, version notes or these terms' notices inside the files;
  7. use a PAC Product to make a competing product library, pack or catalog for others;
  8. use it in a way that breaks the law or someone else's rights.

6. Free products

Products PAC gives away (for example the free texture pack and the free PDF door catalog) are PAC Products under these terms too, except that PAC may let you share a free product by saying so on its page. Section 7 applies to every texture pack, free or paid.

7. Other companies' names, pictures and products

  • Texture packs show decors made by other companies. Their names and pictures belong to those companies. They are included only so your renderings can show what a real material looks like. PAC doesn't claim they are exact: colors on screen differ from the real material, and makers change and discontinue decors. Always choose from the maker's real samples. Use the textures only inside Mozaik for your Shop's designs; don't take the pictures out to use or share on their own. If a maker asks PAC to remove its decors, PAC may remove them from the pack and from updates.
  • Hardware, materials and tooling names (hinges, slides, connectors, bits and the like) are the trademarks of their makers. PAC uses them only to say what a product was built for. Makers change their parts, sizes and part numbers; check the maker's current data before you order or drill.
  • Mozaik. Mozaik is a trademark of its owner. PAC is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mozaik's maker. You need your own Mozaik license. A Mozaik update can change how a PAC Product behaves; the product page says which Mozaik versions PAC tested.
  • No endorsement. Naming another company doesn't mean it made, approved or sponsors a PAC Product.

8. Check before you cut (the manufacturing disclaimer)

Please read this section. It matters more than any other.

PAC Products are design tools and starting points. They are not finished, tested instructions for your shop, your materials, your hardware or your machine. PAC doesn't know your sheet thicknesses, your tooling, your machine, your post-processor, your settings, or how you build. Mozaik, your post-processor and your machine, not PAC, produce the cut lists and toolpaths your machine runs.

Before you cut, drill, machine or build anything from a PAC Product, you must:

  1. check every dimension in Mozaik at the exact sizes and options you'll build, including every part's size and position, and how the product fits the room and the parts around it;
  2. check every material and thickness against what you will really use;
  3. check every hardware item (hinges, slides, connectors, dowels, supports, fasteners) against the maker's current instructions;
  4. check every tool, bit and machine setting, and for door profile packs, map every placeholder bit to the right bit in your own tool library and check depths, diameters and feeds before running;
  5. cut a test part (or a full test product) from scrap before cutting a production run;
  6. check every product again after any update from PAC, because a new version can change parts and sizes;
  7. follow your machine's safety rules, its maker's instructions, your workplace's safety rules and the law (including OSHA where it applies); keep guards in place and train your people.

Strength, loads and codes. PAC doesn't rate how much weight a shelf, countertop, cabinet or wall unit holds, and doesn't design for any building code, accessibility rule or safety standard. How a product holds up depends on your materials, joinery, fasteners, hardware, the wall or floor it's fixed to, and how it's installed. That is your responsibility and your installer's.

Quotes and prices. Pricing templates, cost data, hardware lists and labor figures are examples. Check them against your own costs before you quote a customer.

What PAC isn't responsible for. To the fullest extent the law allows, PAC is not responsible for: wasted or damaged material; broken bits or tools; damage to machines, fixtures or property; machine or shop time; rework, delays or missed deadlines; products that don't fit, don't work or fail after installation; claims by your customers or workers; or injury or death connected with cutting, building, installing or using anything made with a PAC Product. You accept these risks when you choose to manufacture from a PAC Product.

Found something wrong? Stop, don't cut, and tell PAC (PAC Help in PAC Agent, or info@phillanton.com). PAC fixes real errors in a later update when it can, but doesn't promise to.

9. Updates

  • What PAC may update. PAC may release new versions of a PAC Product to fix, change or add to it. Updates may rename, move, change or retire products. PAC Agent keeps retired products in the library's Z PAC Retired folder so jobs you already drew still find them.
  • Which updates you get. A purchase includes the updates the product's page promised on the day you bought it. Otherwise PAC doesn't promise any update, any new product, or that a product will keep working with future Mozaik versions.
  • How you get them. Through PAC Agent (for products it handles) or a new download. Updates through PAC Agent need a signed-in Shop PC and an internet connection.
  • If PAC stops. If PAC stops offering updates or PAC Agent, the products already in your folders keep working in Mozaik under these terms.

10. Refunds

Because a download can't be returned, sales of PAC Products are final once the product has been downloaded or installed, except:

  1. Duplicate or mistaken order: if you were charged twice, or bought the wrong product and haven't downloaded or installed it, tell PAC within 14 days and PAC will refund it.
  2. It won't work and PAC can't fix it: if a product won't open or place in a Mozaik version its page says it supports, tell PAC within 30 days of purchase; if PAC can't fix it within 14 days of hearing from you, PAC will refund that product.
  3. Where the law requires more: for example, a consumer in the EU or UK has a 14-day right to cancel, which ends once the download starts if the consumer agreed at checkout to immediate delivery and confirmed they lose the right to cancel.

After a refund, cancellation or chargeback, the license for that product ends (section 14): you must delete it from every PC and folder, and PAC Agent stops updating it. Products already used in finished jobs remain yours to deliver.

11. No warranty

In plain words: PAC Products come as they are. Besides what these terms say, PAC makes no promises about them.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, PAC PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. PAC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WORKMANLIKE QUALITY, ACCURACY, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PAC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PAC PRODUCT, DIMENSION, FORMULA, PARAMETER, TOOL PATH OR INSTRUCTION IS CORRECT, COMPLETE, SAFE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR MATERIALS, TOOLS, MACHINE OR PROJECT, OR THAT IT WILL WORK WITH ANY VERSION OF MOZAIK. DESCRIPTIONS, VIDEOS, PICTURES AND MARKETING ARE GENERAL INFORMATION, NOT WARRANTIES. Some places don't allow some of these exclusions; there, they apply as far as the law allows.

12. Limitation of liability

In plain words: PAC's total responsibility for a product is capped at what you paid for it, and PAC isn't responsible for indirect losses.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:

(a) PAC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, WASTED OR DAMAGED MATERIAL, BROKEN TOOLS, MACHINE DAMAGE, MACHINE OR LABOR TIME, REWORK, DELAY, OR CLAIMS BY YOUR CUSTOMERS OR WORKERS, EVEN IF PAC WAS TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE;

(b) PAC'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT A PAC PRODUCT, ON ANY LEGAL THEORY, WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID PAC FOR THAT PRODUCT, OR US$50 FOR A FREE PRODUCT;

(c) these limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don't limit liability the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud or willful misconduct.

13. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless PAC, its owners, members, employees and contractors from any third-party claim, and the losses and reasonable attorneys' fees that come with it, arising from: (a) anything you or your Shop make, sell, install or use with a PAC Product, including claims by your customers, your workers or anyone hurt by it; (b) your changes to a PAC Product; (c) your breach of these terms; or (d) your violation of the law or someone else's rights. PAC will tell you about the claim and may take part with its own counsel at its own cost. You may not settle a claim that admits fault for PAC or binds PAC without PAC's written consent.

14. Ending the license

  • Automatically, without notice, if you breach section 5, or if the purchase is refunded, cancelled or charged back.
  • By PAC, with notice, if you breach these terms in another way and don't fix it within 15 days.
  • When it ends, you must stop using the product and delete every copy, edited or not, from every PC, folder and backup you control. Finished jobs you already delivered stay yours. PAC Agent stops updating the product.
  • Sections 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 survive.

15. Everything else

  • Business use and age. PAC Products are for businesses. You must be at least 18 to buy or accept these terms.
  • Export and sanctions. You confirm you are not located in, or a resident of, a country or region under comprehensive US embargo, and are not on a US restricted-party list, and you won't export or transfer PAC Products in violation of US export or sanctions laws.
  • Changes. PAC may update these terms by posting a new version with its date. The version in force when you bought a product governs that purchase; a later version applies to updates you accept after it is posted, and PAC Agent asks you to accept a material change. Changes never apply to a dispute that started before them.
  • Governing law and disputes. Minnesota law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules; the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply. Disputes are handled as section 19 of the PAC Agent EULA says.
  • Whole agreement, order. These terms and the store's terms of service are the whole agreement about PAC Products. If they disagree about a PAC Product, these terms win. A product page may add a specific promise (for example which updates are included); it doesn't otherwise change these terms.
  • Severability, no waiver, assignment. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays. Not enforcing a right isn't giving it up. You may not transfer your license; PAC may transfer these terms with its business.
  • The price reflects these limits. You agree that PAC's prices reflect the split of risk in these terms, including the disclaimers in sections 8 and 11 and the limits in section 12, and that PAC could not offer PAC Products at these prices without them.
  • Codes, standards and the law are yours. PAC Products are design tools, not engineering or legal advice. Meeting building codes, fire and safety rules, accessibility rules, load ratings, your hardware makers' instructions and any other law or standard for what you build is your responsibility.
  • No one else gets rights under these terms. These terms are between PAC and you only. Your own customers, your employees and anyone else get no rights under them, and you won't promise your customers anything about PAC Products on PAC's behalf. Your own terms with your customers are yours to write.
  • Enforcement. Unlicensed copying hurts PAC and every shop that paid. PAC may ask a court for an order to stop it, in addition to any other remedy, where the law allows.
