The short version
- What PAC gets: your sign-in email, each PC's name, the versions of PAC Agent, Mozaik and Windows, the rough place of your internet connection when a PC signs in, which library files you download, your purchase records from PAC's store, and whatever you send to PAC Help. Unless you switch it off, a problem report when an update fails.
- What PAC never gets: your jobs, drawings, customers' names, prices, or your folder paths.
- Why: to know what you own, deliver your updates, keep other people from using your purchase, fix problems and answer you.
- PAC doesn't sell your information or use it for advertising. A few service companies handle it for PAC (section 6).
- You can switch off automatic problem reports, use PAC Agent without signing in, and ask PAC to show you or delete your information (section 10).
1. Who we are
Phill Anton Consulting LLC ("PAC", "we"), Minnesota, USA, makes PAC Agent and runs PAC's server. We decide what is collected and why (in GDPR terms, we are the "controller"). Contact: info@phillanton.com.
2. What this notice covers
- PAC Agent, PAC's free Windows app, and its update service;

- purchase records PAC's server copies from PAC's store to know who owns what, including for buyers who never use PAC Agent.
Shopping on phillanton.com is covered by the store's own privacy policy (phillanton.com/policies/privacy-policy). Mozaik, Windows, your cloud folder service and the websites PAC Agent opens in your browser have their own privacy policies.
3. What we collect

PC names. If a PC's name includes a person's name (like "JOHNS-LAPTOP"), PAC sees it. You can rename the PC in Windows.
Pictures in the app. When PAC Agent shows video thumbnails and store photos, your PC fetches them from YouTube's and Shopify's image servers, which see your internet address like any website does.
4. What stays on your PC
PAC Agent never sends your jobs, drawings, customers' names, prices or folder paths. It reads your Mozaik folders to
do its job (the "What PAC Agent can see" screen lists exactly what), and keeps these files on your PC: its settings,
backups made before each update, reports waiting to send, an update log, and its sign-in token (encrypted by Windows).
Uninstalling keeps the settings and backups. To remove them, delete %APPDATA%\PAC Agent and
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PAC Agent after uninstalling. PAC Agent also writes small notes files in each PAC library's _pac
folder (including your shop's join token); those stay with the library.
5. How we use it
We use the information in section 3 only to:
- sign in your PCs and check what your shop owns;
- deliver library and app updates, and make sure they suit your Mozaik version;
- keep PAC Products from being used outside the shop that bought them;
- find and fix problems, and answer your reports, wishes and messages;
- improve PAC Agent and PAC's products, and decide what to make next;
- send you emails you need: sign-in links, answers, and notices about these terms or your products (PAC Agent never signs you up for marketing emails; the store has its own sign-up);
- keep records for refunds, taxes and disputes, and meet legal duties.
Legal bases (for people in the EU, EEA or UK): performing our agreement with you (items 1, 2, 4, 6); our legitimate interests in running a secure, working service, protecting our products and improving them (items 3, 4, 5; for automatic reports you can object by switching them off); legal obligations (item 7); and your consent where the law requires it, which you can withdraw at any time.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. PAC Agent has no advertising or analytics trackers. We share information only with:

These companies may use the information only to provide their service to PAC. We may also share information: when the law requires it or to protect PAC's rights, safety or property (for example, to stop unlicensed copying); with professional advisers under confidentiality; and with a buyer or successor if PAC's business is sold or reorganized, under this notice.
7. How long we keep it
We keep:
- purchase records and free grants;
- your shop's PCs, their versions and the rough place they signed in from (versions are overwritten at each check);
- the download log;
- problem reports, pictures, diagnostics and PAC's answers, so PAC can see a product's history of problems;
- sign-in requests and setup codes;
- rate-limit counters (they reset by themselves);
- PAC's own admin audit log;
- copies of reports and messages in PAC's email inbox.
We keep each of these while your shop uses PAC Agent, and as long as PAC needs it to support you, for its records (such as refunds, taxes and disputes) and to meet the law. When PAC no longer needs something, it deletes it. You can ask PAC to delete your information sooner by emailing info@phillanton.com (section 10); PAC will, except for what the law makes it keep.
8. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections, sign-in tokens stored only as one-way hashes, a strict schema for every request, signed updates, and access limited to PAC's own people. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Your choices
- Automatic problem reports: Settings › Send problem reports to PAC Help (switch it off; PAC Agent then asks before sending).
- Don't sign in: PAC Agent works without signing in for news, videos, the store and PAC Help; only library updates need a sign-in.
- Sign out a PC: ask PAC to sign it out, or uninstall PAC Agent from it.
- Uninstall: stops everything PAC Agent sends. Section 4 says how to remove what it leaves on the PC.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy; correct it; delete it; get it in a portable form; object to or restrict some uses; withdraw consent; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising (we do neither). Residents of some US states (including California, if the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to PAC) have these rights by law; people in the EU, EEA and UK have them under the GDPR and may complain to their local data protection authority.
How to ask: email info@phillanton.com with "Privacy request" in the subject, from the email you bought or signed in with. We may need to confirm it's you. Someone you authorize may ask for you, with proof. We answer within 30 days (45 days for California residents). If we say no, you can ask us to reconsider by replying "Appeal", and we'll answer within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Deleting has a cost: if we delete your purchase and sign-in records, PAC Agent can no longer update your products. We may keep what the law requires (for example tax records) or what we need for a dispute.
11. Children
PAC Agent is a business tool for adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. International
PAC is in the United States, and our providers process information in the US and other countries. If you are outside the US, your information is handled in the US, where privacy law may differ from yours. Where the GDPR requires it, our providers' transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Changes
We'll post any change here with a new date, and show material changes in PAC Agent before they apply. If we ever want to use your information in a new way that needs your consent, we'll ask first.
