The PAC Mozaik Closet Library is built around CAM construction using the Titus 6 connector (an outrigger-style cam fastener). Every section places a 20mm hole (for the cam housing) and a 10mm hole (for its pin), and Mozaik lines these up automatically throughout the whole system, sitting right where the line bore runs. The system relies on these fasteners seating accurately — which they do — so you can count on the holes landing in the right place.
What fastener does the PAC Closet Library use?
The library is centered on the Titus 6 connector — an outrigger-style cam fastener. If you already run a Rafix shop you can use Rafix instead, but Phill recommends the Titus 6: in his opinion it installs faster and is simply the better product.
You can build the entire system with single dowels alone; the library also supports double dowels. For the dowels, get the quick-fit type.
What are the 20mm and 10mm holes?
Each section in the library shows a 20mm hole and a 10mm hole. These are the two bores the Titus 6 CAM connector seats into. In Mozaik they line up automatically across the whole system, positioned where the line bore is going to be. Because the fasteners seat so accurately, the holes can be counted on to land in the right place.
How do you check the CAM holes are correct?
Even though the holes line up automatically, it's always a good idea to give yourself a quick manufacturing check: confirm the 10mm and 20mm holes line up with the line bore. If something has gone wrong, the holes will typically be off by roughly an inch — a sign that something unexpected happened (Phill calls it “off-roading”) and the run drifted. It's a fast, easy check to make sure everything works.
Where do you get the hardware and the DXF files?
The hardware and accessories list lives on the library's additional resources page. Download that PDF and you'll get the sourcing info for the connectors and dowels, plus all the DXF documents you need to support the rest of the system.
