How to Add and Configure Doors in Mozaik

Phill Anton |

To add a door in Mozaik, work in the Room tab, select the Door category, and add the door onto a wall. Then pick the door type you need (single, double, opening, or arched opening), move it to the correct wall, and fine-tune its width, height, position, and elevation in the door's adjustment settings below it. Mozaik adds doors through the Room tab because you are placing them onto the room's walls, not inside an individual cabinet or product.

This guide follows Mozaik's official walkthrough. Watch the original on Mozaik's channel:

The workflow at a glance

The whole process runs through the Room tab: select the Door category, add the door onto a wall, pick the door type, then set width, height, position, and elevation. The sequence below walks through each step.

Open the Room tab and select the Door category

Start in the Room tab and select the Door category in the upper-left of that workspace. Choosing that category is what tells Mozaik you are placing a door rather than another room element.

Add the door onto a wall

With the Door category selected, add a door and Mozaik places it onto a wall for you. In the official walkthrough it lands on the first wall, centered on a window. That initial placement is just a starting point — you are not locked into that wall or that spot.

Move the door to the wall you want

If the door is not on the wall you need, move it to whatever wall the job calls for. You are not stuck with where Mozaik first placed it; reposition the door to the wall that matches your floor plan.

Check the door in the 3D viewer

Open the 3D viewer to see the door in context. A new door comes in as a single door by default, and the 3D view confirms how it actually sits in the room before you commit to dimensions.

Choose the door type

Mozaik lets you switch the door to one of four types, depending on the opening you need:

  • Single door — the default a new door starts as.
  • Double door — for a wider, two-leaf opening.
  • Opening — a plain opening.
  • Arched opening — an opening with an arched top.

Pick whichever type fits the job. You can change the type after placement, so it is easy to start with a single door and switch it.

Adjust size, position, and elevation

Below the door, Mozaik shows the adjustment settings for that door. Use them to:

  • Change the door width.
  • Change the door height.
  • Adjust the door's position along the wall.
  • Adjust the elevation (how high it sits) when you need to.

Set these to match your actual opening, and use the 3D viewer to verify the result looks right.

FAQ

Where do I add doors in Mozaik?

Doors are added from the Room tab, not from inside a cabinet. Select the Door category in the upper-left of the Room workspace and add the door onto a wall.

What door types can I choose?

Four: single door, double door, opening, and arched opening. A new door starts as a single door, and you can switch the type at any time.

Can I move a door after I add it?

Yes. Mozaik places the door on a wall to start, but you can move it to any wall and reposition it along that wall to match your plan.

How do I change a door's size or height off the floor?

Use the door's adjustment settings (shown below the door) to change its width and height, reposition it, and set its elevation. Check the 3D viewer to confirm the result.
