PAC Mozaik Libraries: Miter Fold, Shiplap, Fillers & Shelves for Cabinetmakers

Phill Anton |

Beyond closets, Phill Anton Consulting (PAC) makes a family of drag-and-drop Mozaik libraries for the rest of a cabinet shop's work: the Miter Fold Library for end panels, fillers, island caps, and shelves; a dedicated Miter Fold Shelf Library for floating shelves; the Shiplap Panel Library for grooved feature walls; and Banded Fillers with Dowels for clean, registered fillers. Each one drops straight into a Mozaik job so a shop skips the parametric setup and just builds.

What Mozaik libraries does PAC make besides closets?

PAC is best known for its closet library, but the catalog goes well past closets. Each of these is a real, purchasable Mozaik library that drags and drops into a job:

If you also build closets, the closet pillar covers that side: Closet design in Mozaik for cabinetmakers.

What is the PAC Miter Fold Library?

The PAC Miter Fold Library is a Mozaik download from Phill Anton Consulting that makes quick work of end panels, fillers, island caps, floating shelves, and more — 188 products in total. It uses no SketchUp models, so parts represent realistically on the cut list. It includes standard and panelized miter fold collections (base-to-floor, wall, tall), floating shelves with LED options, ceiling and light-rail components, base fillers and wall caps, and cleat assemblies with dados. It adds scribe to floors and walls with rabbets for on-site adjustment and generates separate cut lists for all cleats. Compatible with slab, 1-piece, and 2-piece doors. $195 with a PDF setup guide.

How do you build floating shelves in Mozaik?

There are three PAC routes to a floating shelf, depending on the bracket and how much you build:

  • The dedicated shelf library. The PAC Miter Fold Shelf Library has 24 products in 6 groups for HOVR (Classic/Slim, auto optimal size), Sheppard (fully adjustable), and standard (no bracket) shelves — all with horizontal/vertical grain, finished-end variants, and an optional LED channel with wirechase. Requires Mozaik 14+. $250.
  • The All-In-One demo product. PAC's All-In-One Miterfold Floating Shelf packs both horizontal and vertical grain into a single product (switch in the Parameters tab) and adds LED channels, back/side scribe, and Sheppard bracket support. See All-In-One Miterfold Floating Shelf in Mozaik.
  • The native-cabinet Tenso method. For Lamello Tenso joinery, PAC builds the shelf as a native Mozaik cabinet (not a custom product) so Mozaik's collision detection keeps the Tenso pockets aligned, driven by a joint fastener group. See Lamello Tenso Floating Shelves in Mozaik.

How does the PAC Shiplap Panel Library work?

The PAC Shiplap Panel Library adds shiplap panels whose grooves you control directly on the panel — width, depth, and either quantity (e.g. 6 or 8 grooves) or distance (e.g. one every 2"). Version 2 adds a chosen starting edge plus a front groove and back notch so adjacent panels physically interlock. Install is about 90 seconds: unzip, copy the folder into your Mozaik Product Libraries, restart Mozaik (you need Mozaik 14). $80.

What are Banded Fillers with Dowels?

Fillers are the unglamorous parts that decide whether a run looks finished. The PAC Banded Fillers with Dowels Library makes it easy to edge-band or add nosing to 1-1/2" fillers in Mozaik, with dowel holes for part registration and easy assembly. Dowels can be turned off or have their diameter adjusted; with dowels off, the library also works for 5-piece end panels. Compatible with slab, 1-piece, and 2-piece MDF door profiles. $150.

The same doweled-joinery thinking carries into countertops — PAC's Doweled Countertop product builds a doweled countertop with integrated buildups, your choice of nosing or banding, optional stretchers, and a back scribe. See Doweled Countertop Setup in Mozaik.

How do you set the base — feet vs. toe?

If you're standing a run on adjustable feet rather than a toe, PAC's libraries support Axilo adjustable feet — though Phill is candid that he prefers the continuous toe notch with a scribed sub-toe over feet for most work. The how-to covers enabling the feet, fixing the outrigger collision, dropping panels off the floor, and clearing leg overrides. See Axilo Adjustable Feet Setup in Mozaik.

Where can you learn or get setup help?

Every PAC library ships with a setup guide, and most offer optional one-on-one Zoom setup. If you'd rather have a deeper walkthrough, PAC offers one-on-one Mozaik training. You can browse and download the full library catalog on the PAC downloads page.

You can build all of these in Mozaik by hand. If you do this work regularly, PAC's drag-and-drop libraries — Miter Fold, Miter Fold Shelf, Shiplap Panel, and Banded Fillers with Dowels — have it all built in, ready in Mozaik, so you skip the parametric setup entirely. FAQ

What Mozaik libraries does Phill Anton Consulting make besides the Closet Library?

Beyond the PAC Closet Library, Phill Anton Consulting makes the Miter Fold Library (end panels, fillers, island caps, floating shelves — 188 products, $195), the Miter Fold Shelf Library (HOVR/Sheppard/standard floating shelves, Mozaik 14+, $250), the Shiplap Panel Library (vertical and horizontal grooved panels, $80), and the Banded Fillers with Dowels Library (band or nose 1-1/2 inch fillers with dowel registration, $150). They're drag-and-drop Mozaik libraries you drop into a job.

What is the PAC Miter Fold Library in Mozaik?

It's a Mozaik download from Phill Anton Consulting with 188 products that make quick work of end panels, fillers, island caps, and floating shelves. It uses no SketchUp models, adds scribe with rabbets for on-site fit, and generates separate cut lists for all cleats. It's compatible with slab, 1-piece, and 2-piece doors, and costs $195.

How does the PAC Shiplap Panel Library control grooves in Mozaik?

Each shiplap panel exposes groove width and depth and places grooves by either quantity (e.g. 6 or 8 grooves) or distance (e.g. one every 2 inches). Version 2 adds a chosen starting edge plus a front groove and back notch so panels interlock. There's even a V-groove trick that drives a 60-degree V-bit down each groove line. It's $80.

Can you make floating shelves in Mozaik with PAC libraries?

Yes. The PAC Miter Fold Shelf Library builds floating shelves on HOVR, Sheppard, or standard brackets with optional LED channels (Mozaik 14+, $250). The All-In-One Miterfold Floating Shelf packs horizontal and vertical grain into one product, and PAC has also shown Lamello Tenso floating shelves built as a native Mozaik cabinet.
