A corner section in the PAC Closet Library (in Mozaik) is the alternative to a bridge section for turning a closet around a 90-degree corner. To lay one out: allow at least 24 inches in either direction, grab the left or right corner from the products (left/right just sets which side the wall-hanging panel rises on), drop it so it lands on the wall to the left of the corner, then set the depth by dragging the green arrows or by giving a width and using the bump button. The section includes a deliberate notch for the cutout tool's radius.
What is a corner section and why use it instead of a bridge section?
A corner section wraps closet storage around a 90-degree inside corner. In the demo, Phill starts from bridge sections — the alternative and, for fast assembly/install time, the often-preferred method (covered in a separate bridge-sections video) — and replaces one with a corner section to show it off.
Phill is candid that corner sections have a reputation for being "the dreaded corner section" for good reason: you have to hand-band the interior edges of the shelves, and the default Mozaik library version can cause problems with where the line bore lines up and with basic function — it isn't very intuitive. The PAC Closet Library corner section is built to address that (Phill notes "there's a little magic behind the scenes of how we made this shape," and that it is not built the same way as the default Mozaik closet corner).
How do you lay out a corner section? (PAC Closet Library, in Mozaik)
Phill Anton's basic layout, step by step:
- Confirm you have room. You need at least 24 inches in either direction from the corner to lay the corner section down.
- Grab the corner section from the products. In the products list on the left you'll find the corner sections. In the demo Phill grabs the "96 corner left."
- Pick left vs right by the hanging-panel side. Left/right does not mean the corner faces a different way — it only sets which side the wall-hanging panel comes up on. Left = hanging panel on the left; mirror it to right to put the hanging panel on the right.
- Drop it in — it always lands left of the corner. A 90-degree corner section always drops on the wall to the left of the corner; it will never drop on the right-hand wall. So position based on that behavior.
- Fill / set the first leg. Drag the green arrow down to fill the space, or give that panel a width of about 30 inches (example value from the demo) and move the panel into place.
- Set the depth of the other leg with the bump button (see below).
Why is there a notch in the corner section?
There's a deliberate notch at the inside corner. After the top is cut out, the cutout tool leaves a small radius in that corner. The notch creates the gap that radius needs, so the panel doesn't smush up against the corner and instead lays in there perfectly. So the notch is intentional and good — don't try to close it up.
How do you set the depth of a corner section?
When you drag the other green arrow, it "just goes off into space" — it doesn't sense the panel next to it. That's because that green arrow is the depth of the cabinet, and the cabinet depth can't sense the adjacent panel. Phill says that's okay and not worth worrying about.
To set the depth cleanly instead:
- Give the corner the depth you want. In the demo Phill sets 28 inches in the corner. (This can be any number you want.)
- Bump the panel into place. Click the panel, then use the bump button to bump it into position.
How much clearance do you need for hanging clothes in the corner?
If the closet rod is on the left side of the corner interaction, leave room for the hanging clothes: Phill recommends at least 24 inches, and about 31 inches to make the corner interaction work comfortably with the hanging clothes.
What's next (Part 2)?
This video is the basic layout only. Phill says the next section covers the interior — how to build it out and get it to look the way you want.

FAQ
What does left vs right mean on a Mozaik closet corner section?
In the PAC Closet Library, left vs right only refers to which side the wall-hanging panel comes up on. A left corner section has the hanging panel on the left; a right corner section mirrors it to the right. A 90-degree corner section always lands on the wall to the left of the corner regardless, so the only real choice is the hanging-panel side.
How much room do you need for a corner section in Mozaik?
Phill Anton recommends at least 24 inches in either direction from the corner to lay a corner section down. If a closet rod sits on that side, allow roughly 24 to 31 inches so hanging clothes have comfortable clearance in the corner.
