Yes — you can keep your existing 15-inch 563H drawer guides with the PAC Mozaik Closet Library instead of switching to metal drawer boxes. The library doesn't force metal boxes; there are just a couple of trade-offs. The key one is depth: standard closet sections are 14 inches deep, but a 15-inch slide needs more room, so you step the drawer section up to the next size — 16 inches deep. Then set your drawer guides to 563H and turn on drawer front adjusters.
Can I keep my 15-inch (563H) drawer guides with the PAC Closet Library?
Yes. The PAC Closet Library typically uses metal drawer boxes, but it does not require them. If you'd rather keep your existing 15-inch 563H drawer guides — or you're buying out plywood or hardwood dovetail boxes, or making your own melamine boxes — that's totally fine. There's just a trade-off in section depth (covered below). According to Phill Anton Consulting, avoiding metal drawer boxes is okay; you just have to account for the longer slide.
Why do I need to change the section depth, and to what?
Standard closet sections in the PAC Closet Library are 14 inches deep. A 15-inch slide is longer than that, so a 14-inch section can't hold it. The fix is to step the drawer section up to the next available depth — 16 inches — which fits the 15-inch 563H guides just fine. That's the core of the whole change: bump out the drawer section.
How do I switch from metal drawer boxes to 563H guides in Mozaik?
If you're already set up with metal drawer boxes and want to move to your 15-inch guides:
- Make the drawer section deeper — step it from the standard 14 inches up to 16 inches deep so the 15-inch slide fits.
- Go to Settings, find Drawer Guides, and pick 563H (or whichever guide you actually use).
- Make sure drawer front adjusters are set up (see below).
That's it — Phill's point is that there really isn't much more to it than deepening the section and selecting the right guide.
What are drawer front adjusters, and why does the PAC Closet Library include them?
Drawer front adjusters let you fine-tune the position of a drawer front after the box is built, instead of fighting it by hand. The PAC Closet Library ships with drawer front adjusters already set up — it only takes about 5 seconds to configure, but it's convenient that it's built in. You can also use 20 mm Blum adjusters if you prefer.
Phill's strong recommendation: if you're using anything other than metal drawer boxes — bought-out plywood boxes, hardwood dovetail, or your own melamine — use drawer front adjusters. They're easy to use and save a lot of time; shops can otherwise burn hours adjusting drawer fronts by hand.
How are the drawer front adjusters bored (the holes)?
In wireframe, the PAC Closet Library's drawer front adjuster setup uses:
- an 8 mm hole in the subfront of the drawer box, and
- a 5 mm hole into the back of the drawer front.
This tells your team exactly where to locate the drawer fronts. Phill notes there are also some related efficiencies in the door library and some labeling options — nothing elaborate, just touches that help streamline the build.

FAQ
Can I still use my 15-inch 563H drawer guides with the PAC Mozaik Closet Library?
Yes. The PAC Closet Library does not force metal drawer boxes — you can run 15-inch 563H slides. The main change is depth: standard closet sections are 14 inches deep, but a 15-inch slide needs more room, so step the drawer section up to the next size, which is 16 inches deep.
Why do I need a deeper section for 15-inch drawer guides in Mozaik?
A standard PAC closet section is 14 inches deep, which is not enough room for a 15-inch slide. Bumping the drawer section to 16 inches deep gives the 563H guides the depth they need without other rework.
